It was worth the money. Hi Folks,I found the CCNA Video Mentor very helpful in understanding the basic concepts of networking. It helped me to reforce what I had read elsewhere and better understand a networking through Ciscos eyes.

Wendell Odom uses an easy to follow and inviting method that keeps you wanting to learn more. This is a fast, excellent way to learn the practical side to interact with Cisco's gear. Unless you are an advanced or Expert user, this is an excellent introduction and review to the essential tasks of setting up Routers and Switches.

I would definitely recommend the product to anyone seeking entry level to intermediate knowledge. The CCNA Video Mentor arrived in 3 days as promised. This product has helped me gain a better understanding of Cisco products.

but i will not do so on amazon. this will not go over all the subjects needed for the 'NA, but it does help. Just not juicy enough.i'd suggest other cbt's.

If you have any issues figuring out any of these above topics with typical binary math or have no idea how to truly understand a network with a 255.255.224.0 for example.BUY THIS PRODUCT. Wow.refreshing approach. It is actually embarrassing to even admit how simple this product makes topics such as broadcast addresses, resident subnets, and valid ip's through a subnetted range. Mostly to probably try to show us the reader.how smart the author is. Simply put.amazing.

NO.But no product is. Is this a one stop shop for a CCNA or knowing how to create complex networks with multiple VLAN's, Access-Lists, etc. It is evident that Wendell is completely comfortable in his own knowledge and wants to cut out all the crap and get people to understand. Great great product. I was actually quite frustrated after 10 minutes of watching this video asking myself,"WHY DOESN'T ANY OF THE BOOKS I AM STARING AT COSTING ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EXPLAIN THESE TOPICS IN THIS FASHION." I quickly assessed the mountains of CCNA and/or just general networking materials I have acquired over the years to be overly complex and written in a ridiculous fashion. This product does a wonderful job of cutting through the BS and getting to the heart of what matters. This product makes understanding/building/configuring important network interfaces a snap. Obviously having a strong background and years of experience made these topics easier for me to grasp, but I know I wish I would have started with this product and moved into other materials.

I have been a network administrator/system administrator for many many years. These topics are not by any stretch rocket science and if you can follow simple instructions you can learn how to design, build, and truly understand simple and complex networks.after about 20 minutes. Is this a great product for the CCNA and understanding not only Cisco's version of networking but networking in general and building a strong lasting foundation to understanding further topics.YES. Often we get stuck with networks and just use ranges that someone else has originally designed. I learned more about subnetting any type of address in 10 minutes with this product, yet my other books host 5 chapters of nonsense.
